Your love's got the best of me

I am a complete and utter sale fiend, this probably stems from the fact that I accquired a pair of jimmy choos in the selfridges sale back in 2007, kinda got the bug for christmas sales and rooting out a bargain!
These are a couple of this years little finds. Will post outfit pictures with them so you can appreciate the full beauty of them.

Colour me nude

Celine SS11
Pheobe Philo of Celine just has this way of perfectly translating femininity without being too whimsical. After dominating a whole season with her clean, minimalistic lines Philo is back and did not disappoint.
I am so obsessed with the effortlessness of Celine's look, every girls dream right?
Among a sea of Bright, brights (which I am drawn to like a moth to a flame) good to know you can count on Celine to tear you away from those hot pinks and tangerines for long enough to realise the perfection in simple, chic dressing.

Bullet with butterfly wings...

A lot of people regard the 90's as a fashion write off, I however revere it.
I think a lot of people forget that the 90's was such a pivotal era when it came to fashion.
Grunge was born (of which I will ever be forever grateful to for making it sociably acceptable to not wash you hair for more than 2 days) so was the era of the 'super model' when they were actually, excuse the pun, super! Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Brooke shields the epitome of a healthy, beautiful, sexy woman who could still rock the shit out of a Galliano gown.
In my opinion Calvin Klein had it's best years in the 90's with body con, clean lines, chiffon and men's wear silhouettes, all taking centre stage in the '95 SS collection
A lot of which have been shown again in this seasons fashion weeks.
The first wives club; a prime example of excellence.. the cigarette pants, the body's, the furs you cannot get vexed with any outfit in this film!
For me the 90's is not just an era but a serious fashion moment of inspiration!

Long live the Kling

In light of the aforementioned collection I thought I'd treat you to some of Elin's sickest outfits, not that I'm a crazy obsessed stalker or anything, just some I had 'lying around'...

Elin Kling for H&M

For those of you who don't already know, Elin Kling (superwoman blogger, stylist and all round bad ass) has been the first ever blogger asked to design a range for H&M "yeaaay" this will put Elin in the same realm as Jimmy Choo, Roberto Cavalli and Lanvin.
The pieces are exquisite and she even models them herself so you can see how they should be worn, good job as a shiny silver pants suit could go oh so wrong! Now for the bad news... they will only be hitting 10 stores in Sweden "boooo" so keep your fingers on the pulse if you're in Sweden as for myself i shall be firmly glued to a certain bidding site (just in case)

sweet dream or a beautiful nightmare...

Be inspired
High fashion photography,Backstage DIOR 2009, carolines mode, Tim Walker,

Sail away with me honey..

Jacket: Vintage
Trousers:Zara
Shoes: Topshop
Tshirt: Zara
Bag: Random stall at service station
Again the old faithful Breton has been brought out.
My unashamed love for this shirt shall never be wavered, we have a bond that can only be matched by that of my first pair of Louboutins and my first vintage book of poems (yes i am a book collector and sniffer for that matter... don't knock it until you have tried it).
I now have these trousers in both Brown and black, they're slightly too big and made of nylon but I love them.
An outfit my grandmother would be proud of... in fact she asked me where I got my shoes from. No, really.

I see a rainbow too

Those of you with a nervous disposition, turn away now.
I am love, love, loving the colour pallets of Jil Sander, Christopher Kane and Jonathan Saunders for SS11.
Now it is no secret that me and all colours in and around the pallet of brown get along just fine but when the summer comes I gravitate towards anything that makes me feel like some sort of exotic bird/creature in a tropical paradise.
As I am always partial to a spot minimalism and layering, the normal staple of clean lines and whimsical materials will occupy my wardrobe but this injection of colour is just what I need to boost some life back into my painfully autumn pallet... roll on the sun!

You'll be aware of five about

Snood: topshop unique
Jumper: Zara
Shorts: Topshop
Shoes: Topshop
Bag: Zara
This snood has become a staple in my everyday life; A. because it is made of the softest wool and B. because it is soo big no amount of cold is getting through this bad boy. Still firmly in the colour pallet of brown, I don't know weather this is due to laziness or just that this weather doesn't really inspire much of any other hue.
Can't wait for the summer and acid brights to take over my life, wash over me like a technicolour dream coat.

Perfect presents...

Sometimes it's the simplest of presents that have the biggest impact.

Laduree macaroons and CoCo Chanels Biography.

I am obsessed with macaroons and Laduree do the best.

Chanel is someone I have loved ever since I can remember (we share the same birthday among other scary coincidences but i shan't bore you with that now)

Just goes to show that thoughtful presents are always the best.

Little bit of this and that...

I have been gallivanting up and down the country visiting friends and family over the past two weeks and I am finally back on home soil :)
Had a fantastical festive period but nothing beats home right?
Just a few pictures from my travels, amazing Christmas displays, festive jumpers (which I am very partial to) A random cake shop in Soho that was like a rave inside complete with flashing lights, pumping house music and a topless male... disturbing but brilliant!
Loved my time away but ready to start a new year.
